Re: IE7Pro 2.0 Beta 3 (Internal Beta Only)

Two quick feedbacks:

1) Option to show option menu with left mouse click is still missing (it was present in 1.2 and previous versions)
2) Is it possible to add an "Apply" button like all Windows applications?
3) Even if I unchecked "Open new tab from address bar", it still acts like when it's on

Thanx for the status bar and tab fix. Yet to test the tab bug, but no other problems.

Re: IE7Pro 2.0 Beta 3 (Internal Beta Only)

Just want to make a quick feature request for the MiniDM:

Settings to auto save different file types into different folder.  For example, any time I save a .jpg file it should go to C:\myjpgs.....possibly by-site settings too.

Re: IE7Pro 2.0 Beta 3 (Internal Beta Only)

Great work as always guys, looks like a lot of bugs have been fixed. smile

Feedback:
1. I had plug-ins/userscripts disabled in beta 2, when I upgraded to beta 3, and went into the preferences and enabled the plug-ins, the catagory is nowhere to be found in the preferences.
2. I am a little confused about a warning I recieved.  I went to download a podcast, I hit right-click and save target as, and I got a message saying "Download manager may not be correct,"  what do you mean by this?  The download worked perfectly fine. smile
3. Thanks for adding a hotkey for the download manager. smile  Minor gui issue, could you make the download manager icon more like the ie7pro icon?  It just looks a little odd to me.
4. Glad to see that you guys are finally trying to make some money somehow, you might want to add a donate button on the homepage.  Will you be only offering the sponsorship through google search?  Personally, I use live search, but I would like to support you guys in any way I can.
5. Have an option to auto-close mini-dm when the downloads are completed.  Not really a big deal, people with slower computers may like it.  But, maybe we should vote in it.  Not really that important.
6. I cannot seem to be able to access the Easy Homepage.
Have a Happy Holiday guys!

It is a step far far back. Where in IE or in Windows does anybody have to right-click to open a menu? Obliging the user to do something absolutely unusual is an ergonomic disaster - especially, if there is not the smallest need for such a divergence from that, where in thousand places all users are used to use the left mouse button. (Besides the fact, that in standard-Windows apps menus appear at the top, not at the bottom.)

I have to agree with Cosmo here.  Left-click and right-click should do different things.  There must be something in teh guidelines that clearly defines this...but, I believe right click, or using your own hot-key should be sufficient.

About download manager:

I'd like to have an option to not open the windows when a download starts (I mean to open it minimized in systray, or better in status bar, and just have a popup saying download is complete)

Re: IE7Pro 2.0 Beta 3 (Internal Beta Only)

Labels in main configuration (base config, IE config etc) aren't using all the available space, even when now there is a plenty of space to write a detailed description of the option. Please modify at least:

Wide IE7Pro icon label
Enable customized context menu label
Enable crash recovery label an lower tab related labels
Top IE menu label
Add/update buttons
Reset hit button

Thanks!

My purpose is to provide the best translation for spanish lang, even if in english you're not following 100% of basic guidelines, for example errors should provide a possible solution.

1 extra thing: could you autodisable spell checker when the text is too long, i say 30 lines or more (freezing the whole IE on every new typed letter because spell checking)

1, 6: "script and plugin" module must be enabled, then Easy homepage and plugins preferences will be available.
2:  When show the warning dialog, It means that cookie and referer of this url may be got incorrectly.  Then user have a choice not to use MiniDM.
3: The download icon will be redesigned.
4. Thank you very much for your kind help ! We will continue to develop our software for our community and the active user like you smile The most important things is to make ie7pro more stable and more powerful.
5. OK, Add a option that auto-close MiniDM when the downloads are completed and minimize to system tray.

The goal of MiniDM is as simple as possible, So We think more options is not a good idea.

Now, spellchecking will be autodisable when the text length is greater than 70K. Maybe 70K is large, reduce it to 30K?

I agree with you smile
It was just to avoid another window open on the screen smile

Is it possible to have the download on the status bar like Firefox with downloadstatusbar extension?
I think it is the best way to implement a DM smile
