Re: IE7Pro v2.0 Released (02-01-2008)

Getting the following error after downloading and trying to install:
---------------------------
NSIS Error
---------------------------
The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete.
This could be the result of a damaged disk, a failed download or a virus.

You may want to contact the author of this installer to obtain a new copy.

It may be possible to skip this check using the /NCRC command line switch
(NOT RECOMMENDED).
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

I have also tried the /NCRC switch as well to no success.

Thanks,

Kent

Re: IE7Pro v2.0 Released (02-01-2008)

IE7Pro still doesn't open a new web page from the address bar drop down in a new tab!!

The bug has been in there since day 1.

1) Open web browser
2) Select previously navigated site from address bar drop down
3) Watch the new page appear in the existing tab

Is this ever going to work?

Re: IE7Pro v2.0 Released (02-01-2008)

The bugs that I reported for the 2.0 release candidate are gone with this final version. smile

Same as it was with 1.2 RC rsp. 1.2 final. Maybe the crashes are caused by some debug code within the betas / release candidates?

Re: IE7Pro v2.0 Released (02-01-2008)

EDIT: I'm reposting this in Bugs. Sorry for the double post, but maybe it will get your attention!! wink

I'm posting this here in the hope that you'll put it right quickly. There is a bug with 'Minimize to tray':

Open IE7 and minimize to tray.
Choose any Internet shortcut from the start menu. If this is an Internet Shortcut, it should result in a new tab with the IE window maximised.
Minimize to tray again - you get a second IE icon in the tray.
And so on...new link, new tab, new icon.

Single Instance doesn't seem to make any difference and not all URL shortcuts work. Can you do something with this please.

Re: IE7Pro v2.0 Released (02-01-2008)

A bug I found in MiniDM:

1) you have the option "close miniDM whend downloads completed" enabled
2) you start to download a file
3) you continue to surf web and add another file to the download queue (first one not yet completed)
4) the miniDM finishes to download the first file and then close itself even if latest added file is not completed
3) you have to manually reopen MiniDM and click on "restart" shortcut to complete it

P.S.
I really like that the "X" button on miniDM doesn't close it anymore but minimize it to tray, this behaviour was not present in RC (if I remember well), so thanks for this addition

Re: IE7Pro v2.0 Released (02-01-2008)

it would be better if the new search provider would use a full featured google page (links for prefs, advanced search, images, etc.), with the default google logo(s) (or a full size Google text with a small IE7pro logo).

I hate that every (free) installer wants to install some goggle stuff, but i left checked this time, bec I appreciate your work (and google is the default already), but this custom page is almost useless.

What happend to flash blocking?

What happend to AD/flash blocking context menu options?

What happend to weather forecast, server IP info and page rankings plug-ins?

There's nothin' worse than changin' the interface.

For now I'm switching to v1.1.

Maybe you does not enable "Ad blocker" module and "scripts & plugins" module, Please enable it in first preferences dialog, and then restart IE.

Calm down.  Try enabling some modules, you've probably disabled them.  Go to the preferences and enable everything.

Yeah clam down, then check all your settings. Then come back here with an error report after re-installing.

MiniDM's "Save As" panel should call for the os default. it's frustrating without the new explorer features on vista.
