Re: IE7Pro 2.3 RC1 (Internal Beta Only)

I see till no fix for IE7 crashing oin exit in Vista SP1.

Please support if this is not going to be fixed, let us know so I can stop bothering to try each new version since 1.20 and take the time to report it.  At least it used to crash only when multiple Tabs were in use, no it crashes without ever doing anything in a new session.

Here is reportAddon output: -

Re: IE7Pro 2.3 RC1 (Internal Beta Only)

Perfect, everything works perfect!

One little thing: would it be possible to add a "Drag and Drop-Function" to the Mini DM? For example to open an image in another program than the standard one by pulling the downloaded file from the DM to the opened program?

"MiniDM must be run as administrator (for download and install OpenSSL library), Do you want to do it now?"

Please auto-restart MiniDM with UAC dialog on Windows Vista, or RunAs dialog on Windows XP

Re: IE7Pro 2.3 RC1 (Internal Beta Only)

About this beta... and session manager, we actually have:

CTRL+SHIFT+1 to save
CTRL+SHIFT+2 to load

.........Would not be nicer:
CTRL+SHIFT+N (where N is 0-9) to save -> new dialog:
http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/6233/dibujo1cr2.png

then use the CTRL+N to load that session?

well just a suggestion, because CTRL+SHIFT+1 does make a lot of sense to "save" session to file

Hi rodc271:
Can you help us to send the crash minidump file which we can find the problem.

Windows Error Reporting (WER):
On Vista, WER will create a mini-dump file of
the process, when the application crashes. This has a *.mdmp extension. It
is written to the Drive:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Temp directory. The
user can also access this file by going to Control Panel, System and
Maintenance, Problem Reports and Solutions, View Problem History. Highlight
the crash, in the list of problems, rigth click and choose View Problem
Details. If a dump was created for the crash, the details will include a
link entitled "View a temporary copy of these files". This opens an Explorer
window on the directory containing the mini-dump and othe supporting
diagnostic files. The user can drag and drop these files to another
location, to send to you.

If minidump file is not created, please see
http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/ShowPo … p;siteid=1

BTW, you can disable some modules(such as adblock) and then restart IE. And then retry.

Please auto-restart MiniDM with UAC dialog on Windows Vista, or RunAs dialog on Windows XP

Because MiniDM is only one instance,  another process is needed to do this.  So we do not implement this.

You can define the admin requirements on the minidm.exe manifest file, so Vista will show UAC prompt.

The Address Bar blocking has been removed? Excellent!

Nothing else would be changed in the language file between this release and the final release i suppose. Will update the language file.

Please make small Updater.exe (as in Firefox) for auto update IE7Pro and MiniDM, download OpenSSL or download and install language file for non-admin users. Updater can set Admin privileges for update IE7Pro, MiniDM and more. This is benefit for many causal users.

Added ForceQueue Reg key and rebooted.  IE7 has crashes on several occasions since, but dump not created each time it has crashed.  No "View a temporary copy of these files" in Problem reports and no dump files files in %temp% (Drive:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Temp).

I have, for a while, disabled all modules except for Base, however IE7 still crashes.

Re: IE7Pro 2.3 RC1 (Internal Beta Only)

It is the Base module.  But as that is the main reason I use it, not much point in using IE7 Pro without the base function module.
